An interactive, multimedia CD-ROM on the events that have been shaping the international agenda for women's equality. Includes coverage of the four United Nations women's conferences held in Mexico City, Copenhagen, Nairobi and Beijing, the parallel non-governmental forums, and the 23rd special session of the General Assembly. The CD-ROM discusses the important role of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, and includes important documents from the United Nations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Also included is a bibliography, links to key website as well as archives on women's history and the profiles of more than 200 key persons participating in the global effort.
