This resource includes ABI/Infom Global, ABI/Infom Dateline, ABI/Infom Trade & Industry, and ABI/Infom Archive. This is a scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 7,000 full-text periodicals, and nearly 6,000 peer-reviewed journals. Accessible Archives (Accessible Archives, Inc.)
This resource includes text from historical periodicals and books including eyewitness accounts of historical events, descriptions of daily life, editorial observations, commerce as seen through advertisements and genealogical records. Collections include but are not limited to The Pennsylvania Gazette, South Carolina Newspapers, African American Newspapers, Godey`s Lady`s Book 1830-1898, and The Virginia Gazette.

African American Music Reference (Alexander Street Press)
Is a new resource that will eventually contain 50,000 pages of coverage of blues, jazz, spirituals, civil rights songs, slave songs, minstrelsy, rhythm and blues, gospel, and other forms of black American musical expression. The fall 2007 release includes 1304 essays and images from 36 sources, over 13506 pages. Content includes biographies of 185 African American composers and 5,000 pages of liner notes from Document Records.

African American Newspapers, 1827-1998 (Newsbank)
Provides access to approximately 270 U.S. newspapers chronicling a century and a half of the African American experience. This collection features papers from more than 35 states—including many rare and historically significant 19th century titles.

African American Periodicals, 1825-1995 (Newsbank)
Features more than 170 wide-ranging periodicals by and about African Americans. Published in 26 states, the publications include academic and political journals, commercial magazines, institutional newsletters, organizations' bulletins, annual reports and other genres. These diverse periodicals—which have shaped, and in turn been shaped by, African American culture—will enable new discoveries on lives of African Americans as individuals, as an ethnic group and as Americans.

  • North American Immigrant Letters, Diaries and Oral Histories (Alexander Street Press)
    This database includes 71 authors and approximately 10,000 pages of information intended to provide a unique and personal view of what it meant to immigrate to America and Canada between 1800 and 1950. It is composed of contemporaneous letters and diaries, oral histories, interviews, and other personal narratives, and some audio voices of the immigrants.
  • North American Women's Letters and Diaries (Alexander Street Press)
    North American Women's Letters and Diaries (NAWLD) includes the immediate experiences of 632 women, as revealed in approximately 82,000 pages of diaries and letters. When complete, the collection will include more than 150,000 pages of primary materials spanning more than 300 years. The collection also includes biographies and an extensive annotated bibliography of the sources in the database.
  • Scottish Women Poets of the Romantic Period (Alexander Street Press)

Electronic book that contains high-resolution 300MHz 1H and 75MHz 13C spectra for the more than 11,800 compounds found in the printed version of The Aldrich Library of 13C and 1H FT-NMR Spectra. Found on the Science/Health workstation in the reference area.

Aluka (JSTOR)
Aluka is an international, collaborative initiative building an online digital library of scholarly resources from and about Africa. The name, 'Aluka,' is derived from a Zulu word meaning 'to weave', reflecting Aluka's mission to connect resources and scholars from around the world.
